Exemption and Credit season is right around the corner!
Join Louise Brown and Amanda Mazerolle for an exemption/credit workshop at the NHMA Building in Concord. If you are new to the intake and processing of exemption and credit applications or just need a refresher, this workshop is for you.

On the eve of Halloween, our annual NHAAO Banquet arrives earlier this fall, in line with the Annual NHMA Conference taking place on 10/30 and 10/31. We're very excited for this year's event, and your participation ensures its vital continuation and success.

March 2024 Meeting
The March 2024 Education session will be presentation by Catlin Burke, licensed sales agent in NH, ME and MA. Catlin will be covering office and industrial properties with a 2024 outlook on the seacoast and I-93 corridor areas. The meeting will take place at 25 Triangle Park in the Merrimack/Pemigewasset Room.
February 2024 Meeting
Interactive data analytics has rapidly become an essential tool for business globally. Its visual language has begun to reshape the assessing industry, offering innovative approaches to analyze, understand and communicate data. Building proficiency in the use of visualizations and how they enhance many facets of an assessing office is a vital skill for the future of our industry.
Using real-world examples, Bedford Assessor Doug Irvine will share ways in which the Microsoft Power BI Platform revolutionizes value analysis, handles sales analysis, tracks various components of a CAMA system, tax-related phenomena, exemptions and credits, building permits and more. Beyond the education session, attendees will be provided access to specialized reports to explore, the potential of this groundbreaking platform at their own pace
PLEASE NOTE: A driver’s license or government-issued ID is required to enter the building. The education session will be live-streamed via Zoom, with a meeting invite to come. The February 2024 business meeting will immediately follow.
January 2024 Meeting
The January NHAAO education session begins at 10 AM, with the monthly business meeting immediately following at 11 AM. Location: the John B Andrews Room of the NHMA building.
The education session will focus on the 2024 legislative session, various assessing-based bills, the importance of testifying and being prepared to do so.
Tuesday 1/12 is also the scheduled day that testimony will be taken at the Legislative Office Building (LOB), 33 North State Street - the building behind the domed State House. Assessors are urged to attend the LOB session and testify on issues associated with the following: HB 1034 @ 10:20 AM; HB 1154 10:40 AM; HB 1055 @ 11 AM; HB 1258-L @ 11:30 AM; HB 1040 @ 1:30 PM.

The December 2023 Board of Directors Meeting will take place at 10 AM, Tuesday, December 12 at the NHMA, 25 Triangle Park, Concord, NH.
There will be no education session for December.

IAAO 300
This course introduces students to mass appraisal and is a prerequisite for the IAAO 300-level course series. Topics covered include single-property appraisal as it compares to mass appraisal, components of a mass appraisal system, data requirements and analysis, introduction to statistics, use of assessment ratio studies in mass appraisal, modeling of the three approaches to value, and selection of a mass appraisal system. Deadline to register is August 18th.
