Overview

Educational Scholarships

Educational Scholarships of up to $500.00 each are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Eligibility

To qualify the applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Must be a member of NHAAO in good standing

  • Must submit application to allow Committee response within 30 days prior to registration period

  • Must use the scholarship for the designated course applied for

  • All expenses are to be estimated and submitted at the time of application. Food allowance is set at $35.00 per day maximum, with receipts. Hotel expenses are included in this scholarship

  • Must show a financial need

  • Must include a statement of your reasons for applying

  • Must show proof of registration, copy of check and registration form

  • Must provide continuing education form in writing

  • Must provide original restaurant, airline, and toll receipts

  • A Municipality or Department of Revenue Administration can receive a maximum of two (2) scholarships per year.

  • Individuals can receive one scholarship every two (2) years.

  • Reimbursement will cover only up to the amount of the scholarship. If a course/conference is cancelled or if you cannot attend, all monies received from the NHAAO are to be returned to the Scholarship Committee.

  • IAAO courses, state related courses, real estate and other related subjects pertaining to the real estate and assessment field in general including state, NRAAO and IAAO conferences are accepted courses.

    Priority given to IAAO courses versus conferences.
